Most of my work consists of a variety of print-based designs to include magazine layout and advertising design as well as vector work, signage and branding. I became a Registered Graphic Designer (RGD) of Ontario in 2009, and have an educational background and diplomas in both Graphic Design (2003) and Electronic Prepress (2004).
I have been employed within the graphic design industry since graduating in 2003 in both a printing & publishing establishment and government operated communications departments. I have always worked on projects for local businesses and organizations outside of my employment to maintain a creative mix.
In the spring of 2018 I launched Katie Sinkowski Design with the intention of expanding my freelance work so that I could explore my industry on a new level. I complete work for a variety of businesses and services and love the creative atmosphere of being able to provide design work and branding for such a broad range.
I understand the importance of branding and corporate identity and the need for consistency to make a business or organization memorable. An effective design is reached through research and strategy so that a business or corporation can stand out, and I thoroughly enjoy helping businesses achieve this.
Over the last 14 years I have travelled to over 21 different countries around the world. I have seen a large part of Canada, and the United States as well as Central and South America, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and Europe. Traveling is a large part of who I am and I believe that experiencing what the world has to offer lends a hand in my creativity.
